ITASA stands for Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Student Association. Every year, ITASA holds a West Coast, East Coast, and Mid-West Conference to unite the Taiwanese American college community. It provides the opportunity for networking, community-building, leadership training and identity-forging that are critical to the future of Taiwanese in America.
This year, University of California, San Diego is expecting approximately 300 students from Stanford, Berkeley, Cal Tech, UCI, USC, UCLA, and more to attend the West Coast Conference in April 1-4, 2010. The theme is “Sailing Beyond the Horizon”, celebrating the innovation and creativity of collegiate students, motivating them to overcome their limits and obstacles.
The conference aims to help the younger generation relearn their heritage through Taiwanese history and culture. In order to carry on the tradition, the conference requires financial support to proceed with planned activities. When the team began planning in July 2009, we certainly did not expect the drastic difficulties in fundraising as the economy began to frail. Many ITASA sponsors and donors from previous years have cut down their donation amount, causing our financial deficit. Therefore, we cordially invite you to become a sponsor of the ITASA 2010 West Coast Conference to help make a difference among the Taiwanese American collegiate students.
We deeply appreciate any amount of contribution and sincerely believe that due to the growing Taiwanese community in the United States, donations will accumulate to our financial needs. In addition, ITASA Is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization where all donations are tax-deductible. We also provide the business advertisement service that outreaches to over 300 participants. This conference not only offers a unique opportunity to recruit from a diverse, talented group of students, but also allows your company to demonstrate concern and interest in the Asian American community.
